His founder story reflects a deep understanding of how spaces influence human experience, while his startup mindset continues to drive innovation in a highly competitive market like Dubai. Today, LN Interiors is recognized for delivering bespoke, detail-driven environments that go beyond functionality and create lasting impressions.

Founded with a clear mission to transform ordinary spaces into extraordinary environments, LN Interiors has quickly established itself as a trusted name in the industry. The company’s growth story is rooted in its commitment to quality, client-centric execution and a strong entrepreneurial vision. In this exclusive founder interview, Mohammed Lasheen shares insights into his journey, the evolution of his startup and the strategies that continue to shape LN Interiors’ success.

TFS: Mohammed, it’s a pleasure to have you with us today. To begin, could you share the founding story behind LN Interiors and the vision that drives your work?

Mohammed Lasheen: Thank you, it’s great to be here. The founder story of LN Interiors started with a simple yet powerful realization. Many spaces we encountered were functional, however, they lacked emotional depth and character. That gap became the defining moment for me as an entrepreneur, because I saw an opportunity to build a startup that could transform how people experience spaces.

Over time, this vision evolved significantly. Initially, the focus was on improving aesthetics, however, we gradually expanded into a more holistic approach. Today, we integrate functionality, user experience and emotional connection into every project. As a Founder, I believe that a well-designed space should not only look good but also enhance how people live, work and interact. Therefore, LN Interiors continues to focus on creating environments that feel complete, purposeful and truly impactful.

TFS: LN Interiors was built on the vision of transforming spaces into “extraordinary environments”—what was the defining moment that shaped this vision and how has it evolved over time?

Mohammed Lasheen: The defining moment came when I realized that many projects in the market were designed purely to meet functional requirements. However, they often failed to create a lasting emotional impact. As an entrepreneur, this insight shaped my approach and pushed me to build a startup that prioritizes both form and feeling.

As the company grew, this vision matured into a more structured philosophy. Today, we combine aesthetics, functionality and user experience in a seamless manner. Moreover, we focus on the smallest details, because they collectively define the overall experience. This evolution reflects our commitment to delivering spaces that are not only visually appealing but also deeply engaging and practical.

TFS: In a highly competitive Dubai fit-out market, what is your core differentiator that clients consistently come back for?

Mohammed Lasheen: In a competitive market like Dubai, differentiation is essential. Our core strength lies in maintaining a balance between exceptional service and uncompromising quality. While many companies focus on one aspect, we ensure that both remain equally strong.

We prioritize clear communication from the very beginning. Additionally, we stay responsive and actively involved throughout the project lifecycle. This hands-on approach builds trust and ensures that clients feel confident at every stage. At the same time, we maintain strict standards in materials, workmanship and finishing. As a result, clients not only receive a well-executed project but also a smooth and reliable experience, which ultimately brings them back to us.

TFS: How do you balance creativity with commercial viability, especially when dealing with cost-sensitive clients versus luxury-driven expectations?

Mohammed Lasheen: Balancing creativity with commercial viability is one of the most important aspects of our work as a startup. From the outset, we align our design approach with the client’s budget and expectations. This ensures clarity and avoids unnecessary compromises later.

For cost-sensitive clients, we focus on smart design solutions. We use value engineering and material optimization to achieve a strong visual impact without exceeding the budget. On the other hand, for luxury-driven projects, we emphasize premium finishes, bespoke detailing and refined execution. However, even in high-end projects, we maintain cost control and efficiency. Therefore, the balance comes from understanding priorities, maintaining transparency and delivering designs that are both creative and commercially practical.

TFS: What strategic decisions have contributed most to LN Interiors becoming a trusted name in such a short span?

Mohammed Lasheen: Several strategic decisions played a critical role in building trust quickly. First, we committed to delivering consistent quality across every project, regardless of its size or complexity. This consistency helped establish credibility in the market.

Second, we focused heavily on client service. We ensured responsiveness, transparency and a solution-oriented mindset at all times. Additionally, we stayed closely involved in execution, which allowed us to deliver exactly what was designed without compromise. Another important factor was building a reliable team and supplier network. This enabled us to maintain timelines and quality standards consistently. Together, these decisions strengthened our reputation and accelerated our growth as a startup.

TFS: As you scale, how do you ensure that the “bespoke” element doesn’t get diluted by operational standardization?

Mohammed Lasheen: As a Founder, scaling while maintaining uniqueness is always a challenge. However, we address this by clearly separating what should be standardized from what must remain bespoke. Operational processes such as planning, procurement and quality control are streamlined for efficiency.

At the same time, design, detailing and client experience remain fully customized. Moreover, we ensure strong senior-level involvement in key stages of every project. This guarantees that each space retains its individuality and aligns with the client’s vision. Therefore, while our systems improve efficiency, our creative output continues to remain unique and personalized.

TFS: What role does client segmentation (private clients vs developers vs corporates) play in your growth strategy?

Mohammed Lasheen:  Client segmentation plays a vital role in shaping our growth strategy. Each segment contributes differently to the business and together, they create a balanced portfolio.

Private clients allow us to showcase creativity and bespoke design, which strengthens our brand identity. Developers, on the other hand, provide scale and repeat business, which supports steady growth. Meanwhile, corporate clients demand speed, consistency and functionality, which helps us refine our systems and execution capabilities. By maintaining this balance, we ensure a mix of innovation, volume and stability, which is essential for sustainable growth as a startup.

TFS: Interior fit-out projects are notorious for delays and cost overruns—what systems or frameworks do you rely on to ensure timely and on-budget delivery?

Mohammed Lasheen: Timely and cost-effective delivery depends on strong systems and disciplined execution. We begin with detailed pre-construction planning, which includes clear scope definition, accurate costing and realistic timelines.

During execution, we follow structured project management processes. These include regular progress tracking, procurement scheduling and daily site supervision. Additionally, we enforce strict cost control through variation management and transparent reporting. This ensures that there are no unexpected surprises. Combined with a reliable supplier network and proactive problem-solving, these frameworks allow us to deliver projects efficiently and consistently.

TFS: From concept to completion, which phase do you believe carries the highest risk—and how do you mitigate it?

Mohammed Lasheen: The transition from design to execution carries the highest risk in most projects. At this stage, any gaps in drawings or misalignment between stakeholders can lead to delays and additional costs.

To mitigate this risk, we focus heavily on design coordination before execution begins. We ensure that all drawings are detailed, materials are finalized and scopes are clearly aligned. Furthermore, we involve the execution team early in the process. This ensures that buildability is considered from the start. During the project, continuous supervision and regular coordination meetings help identify and resolve issues early, keeping everything on track.

TFS: How do you approach vendor and subcontractor management to maintain consistent quality across projects?

Mohammed Lasheen: Consistency in quality starts with the right partnerships. Instead of constantly changing vendors, we focus on building long-term relationships with a trusted network of suppliers and subcontractors.

Each partner is carefully selected and continuously evaluated based on performance and reliability. Additionally, we provide clear specifications and conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with our standards. Strict quality checks are enforced at every stage of execution. As a result, this structured approach ensures accountability and consistency across all projects, regardless of their scale.

TFS: Luxury today is evolving—how do you define “luxury interiors” in the context of modern client expectations?

Mohammed Lasheen: Luxury today has shifted significantly from traditional definitions. It is no longer about excess or visual opulence alone. Instead, it is about experience, detail and personalization.

We define luxury as a space that feels effortless yet highly considered. It combines high-quality materials, refined detailing and functional design in a seamless manner. Moreover, modern clients value individuality, so true luxury lies in creating bespoke environments that reflect their lifestyle. Therefore, our approach focuses on delivering spaces that are both elegant and deeply personal.

TFS: To what extent do sustainability and eco-friendly materials influence your design and procurement decisions?

Mohammed Lasheen: Sustainability is becoming increasingly important in our industry. While it is not always the primary driver, it plays a significant role in our design and procurement decisions.

Whenever possible, we incorporate eco-friendly materials and efficient systems. At the same time, we ensure that these choices align with client expectations, budget and project requirements. Interestingly, clients are becoming more aware and open to sustainable options. Therefore, this shift allows us to integrate sustainability more naturally into our projects without compromising quality or aesthetics.

TFS: How do you ensure that each project reflects the client’s personality while still maintaining your brand signature?

Mohammed Lasheen: We achieve this balance by focusing on both customization and consistency. Each project begins with a deep understanding of the client’s preferences, lifestyle and vision. This ensures that the final design reflects their personality.

At the same time, our brand signature lies in attention to detail, quality and execution excellence. These elements remain consistent across all projects. Therefore, while each space feels unique to the client, it still carries the underlying values and standards of LN Interiors.

TFS: What kind of culture are you building within LN Interiors and how do you align creative teams with execution teams?

Mohammed Lasheen: We are building a culture centered around accountability, collaboration and attention to detail. These values are essential for aligning creative and execution teams.

To achieve this, we encourage constant communication and shared ownership of outcomes. Regular coordination ensures that both teams remain aligned throughout the project. Additionally, we promote a solution-driven mindset, which helps resolve challenges efficiently. As a result, this culture ensures that design intent is accurately translated into execution on site.

TFS: What is your approach to hiring—do you prioritize technical expertise, design thinking or cultural fit?

Mohammed Lasheen: While all three aspects are important, we prioritize cultural fit and attitude first. Skills can be developed over time, however, mindset and responsibility are fundamental.

We look for individuals who demonstrate discipline, accountability and a problem-solving approach. Additionally, we value professionals who understand both design intent and practical execution. This balance ensures that our team can deliver high-quality results consistently, which is essential for a growing startup.

TFS: Looking ahead, do you see LN Interiors evolving into a regional brand and what would be your roadmap to get there?

Mohammed Lasheen: Yes, we strongly believe that LN Interiors has the potential to evolve into a regional brand. However, our approach is focused on controlled and sustainable growth.

First, we aim to strengthen our foundation in Dubai by ensuring consistency, quality delivery and strong client relationships. Once this is established, we will expand selectively into key regional markets. Additionally, we will continue building the right teams, systems and partnerships to support this growth. Ultimately, our goal is to scale without compromising our bespoke approach or quality standards.

TFS: Mohammed, it has been an insightful conversation. Your founder story and entrepreneurial journey offer valuable lessons for anyone building a startup in a competitive industry.

Mohammed Lasheen: Thank you, I truly appreciate the opportunity. As a Founder, I believe that consistency, attention to detail and a strong vision are key to long-term success. We will continue to push boundaries and create spaces that make a meaningful impact.

TFS: We look forward to seeing LN Interiors continue its remarkable growth journey. Thank you once again for your time.
