Today, we had the pleasure of speaking with Mr. Anwar Shabeer, the founder of COCOVO, to learn more about their mission and what makes their products unique. Anwar Shabeer: It is my pleasure! 

Q: Can you tell us what inspired you to create COCOVO? 

Anwar Shabeer: It all stemmed from a simple realisation. There were so many personal care brands out there promising organic, toxin-free products, but they were all so expensive! I felt like truly healthy living should not be a privilege reserved for a select few. That is why we created COCOVO: to make organic personal care accessible to everyone without compromising on quality or sustainability. We believe healthy living should be a right, not a luxury. 

Q: That is a fantastic mission. Can you walk us through the process of developing your products? I hear there were some challenges. 

Anwar Shabeer: Absolutely. Finding the right manufacturer was a big hurdle. We needed someone who shared our commitment to transparency and quality, and that was not always easy. A lot of manufacturers were not willing to give us a full picture of their production processes. 

Q: So, what did you do? 

Anwar Shabeer: We decided to take control. We partnered with independent labs that aligned with our values. This allowed us to formulate our products from scratch, so we have complete oversight over every ingredient and every step of the process. It was a long road, but it was crucial to ensure our products truly reflect our mission. 

Q: That is inspiring! Sustainability is a huge buzzword these days. How does COCOVO integrate it into your business? 

Anwar Shabeer: Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. It is about coexisting with nature, not exploiting it. We source our ingredients ethically, working with suppliers who share our respect for the environment. We are also big on innovation in our manufacturing processes, constantly looking for ways to minimise waste and energy use. 

Q: And your packaging? 

Anwar Shabeer: We use recycled and biodegradable materials whenever possible. We like to keep things simple and minimalistic, too. It is not just about how our products look, but about reducing our environmental footprint. Transparency is key here as well. We want our customers to know exactly what they are getting and how to dispose of everything responsibly. Our philosophy is “Humbled by nature, inspired by life, let’s coexist.” Every product reflects that.

Anwar Shabeer: Trust was a big challenge for us. There are so many brands making similar claims. From the beginning, we focused on authenticity and transparency. We wanted our customers to experience what COCOVO is all about, not just be bombarded with ads. We built relationships, fostered genuine connections, and let our products speak for themselves. Our loyal customers are our biggest advocates, and word-of-mouth recommendations are invaluable! 

Q: Innovation is key in this industry. How do you stay ahead of the curve? 

Anwar Shabeer: We keep a pulse on emerging trends in personal care and sustainability. We also listen closely to our customers; their needs and preferences are at the core of our innovation process. We partner with innovative labs and experts to explore new ingredients and sustainable production methods. It is about staying informed, being customer-centric, and constantly looking for ways to improve. 

Q: What exciting things are on the horizon for COCOVO? 

Anwar Shabeer: We have a lot in the works! We are expanding our eco-friendly packaging options and developing new formulations with innovative, natural ingredients. We are also exploring new product categories that promote holistic well-being, like wellness supplements and eco-friendly home care products. Everything we do is about making sustainable living accessible for everyone.
