From Vision to Value: Eda Özceyhan’s Journey to Empower Global HealthTech Innovation

Today we have the pleasure of speaking with Eda Özceyhan, Founder and CEO of Adeo Global, a strategic consultancy and ecosystem builder that supports companies expanding into the EMEA region, especially within the digital health, medtech, and AI-driven healthcare industries. With a deep understanding of cross-market dynamics and a people-first approach, Eda created Adeo Global to be more than just a consulting firm—it’s a growth partner that facilitates meaningful connections and long-term value. By focusing on strategic matchmaking and partnerships, Adeo Global empowers companies to go beyond market entry and achieve sustainable success.
TFS: Ecosystem building is at the core of Adeo Global’s mission. What inspired you to create an organization that connects industry players rather than just offering traditional consulting services?
Eda: Building an ecosystem is really at the heart of every sustainable business, whether we realize it or not. Often, companies focus on transactional models—offering services, completing projects, moving on. But the real value comes from seeing the gaps within industries and then creating meaningful, long-lasting connections that fill those gaps. That’s what inspired Adeo Global.
I’ve always believed that growth doesn’t happen in isolation. Traditional consulting often stops at pointing out problems or providing recommendations. We take it further. We become a part of the journey, actively supporting companies by connecting them to the right people, partners, and opportunities. It’s like Nokia’s old slogan—”Connecting People”—only here, we’re connecting ideas, capabilities, and visions across regions to build something far greater than the sum of its parts.
TFS: How do you define success in ecosystem building? Is it market expansion, innovation, or something else entirely?
Eda: Success, to me, is sustainability. Expansion and innovation are important, but they’re just the beginning. Thanks to globalization and digitization, entering new markets has become easier than ever. But once you’re in, how do you remain relevant? How do you grow, and more importantly, how do you stay?
Success lies in building something that lasts—something that adapts, evolves, and continues to deliver value. It’s about embedding yourself into the market’s fabric so deeply that your presence becomes indispensable. Real ecosystem success is when you’re no longer just a visitor to the market, but a trusted partner within it.
TFS: Adeo Global focuses on the EMEA region. What are the unique challenges and opportunities in this market compared to others?
Eda: EMEA, and particularly the GCC, is full of potential, but it’s not a plug-and-play market. The cycles are longer, the competition is intense, and decision-making often depends heavily on trust and relationships. That might sound like a challenge, but it’s also one of the region’s greatest strengths.
Here, people value vision, innovation, and sincerity. Once you prove your reliability, the support and opportunities are immense. The entrepreneurial spirit is strong, and there’s a shared hunger for progress. That’s why we’ve doubled down on the region. The challenges force you to elevate your approach—and in doing so, you uncover opportunities you wouldn’t find elsewhere.
TFS: What’s a recent collaboration or strategic partnership that truly exemplifies Adeo Global’s impact?
Eda: One of the partnerships I’m most proud of is our work with Turkish startups and companies. Turkey has always had strong cultural and geographical ties to the Middle East, but its innovation potential is still underleveraged in the GCC.
At events like Arab Health, where over 200 Turkish companies participated, we’ve been able to help build real bridges. Not just through introductions, but by aligning values, needs, and long-term strategies. These aren’t one-off deals—we’re laying the groundwork for sustained impact between entire regions. And this is just the beginning. We’re aiming to replicate and scale this success in other parts of the world.
TFS: How does Adeo Global identify the “right partners” for companies entering a new market? Is there a secret formula to successful matchmaking?
Eda: If only there were a formula! But really, the secret is in the preparation. Before we do any matchmaking, we get to know our client deeply—their goals, values, unique value propositions, and the why behind their market entry. This level of insight allows us to make more precise connections.
We also look beyond surface-level compatibility. It’s not just about whether two companies can work together—it’s about whether they should work together for mutual long-term benefit. That nuance comes from experience, industry knowledge, and listening more than we speak.
TFS: Digital health, healthcare AI, and medtech are rapidly evolving fields. How does Adeo Global stay ahead of trends and disruptions in these industries?
Eda: We live and breathe these industries. Staying ahead requires more than reading the headlines—it means immersing ourselves in the ecosystem. We attend major conferences, monitor policy changes, follow startups, and maintain dialogue with healthcare leaders across the region.
Personally, I consume news and insights from 6–7 sources daily, in multiple languages, to get a broad yet nuanced understanding. I’m also an early adopter. I test new technologies not just to understand them, but to evaluate their potential for real-world application. That curiosity helps us anticipate shifts and offer our clients proactive guidance.
TFS: What’s one technological advancement in healthcare that you believe will completely reshape the industry in the next decade?
Eda: AI, without a doubt. Especially in oncology and genetics. The progress we’re seeing—early cancer detection, personalized clinical pathways, precision treatments—is nothing short of revolutionary.
But there’s also a cautionary side. Not everything labeled ‘AI’ is genuinely innovative. We need to move beyond the hype and focus on where AI creates real, measurable outcomes. When applied responsibly, AI will make healthcare more personalized, more accurate, and more accessible than ever before.
TFS: Are there any underestimated innovations or startups in digital health that you believe deserve more attention?
Eda: Yes—3D-printed implants are one of the most underrated innovations in healthcare today. They hold incredible potential for surgeries and rehabilitation, especially when personalized to the patient’s anatomy.
The Luigi Mangione case is a tragic example of what happens when innovation isn’t used correctly. But it also shows how technology like 3D printing could prevent such outcomes. Beyond implants, I think we need to shine more light on telemedicine, wearables, and value-based care—these fields can redefine both patient experiences and system efficiencies.
TFS: What has been the biggest obstacle Adeo Global has faced in building and scaling its ecosystem?
Eda: Tough competition. The market is crowded, especially in regions like the GCC, where many are vying for the same opportunities. But competition isn’t always a threat—it can be an invitation to collaborate.
Not everyone sees it that way, but I believe there’s room for all of us. When you know what you’re doing, do it well, and act with integrity, you’ll find your space. The key is to build relationships with those who share your mindset. That’s how you grow even in a saturated landscape.
TFS: How do you convince traditional healthcare players to embrace digital transformation and AI-driven solutions?
Eda: In the early days, it took a lot of effort. There was resistance—skepticism, even fear. But now, the conversation has shifted. Digital transformation isn’t optional anymore—it’s essential.
Leaders are recognizing that AI can improve patient outcomes, reduce costs, and ease burnout among healthcare professionals. The GCC especially is leading this shift, positioning itself as a global AI hub. While we have to stay cautious—ensuring AI is used where it truly adds value—the momentum is undeniable.
TFS: What’s your leadership philosophy, and how do you maintain a culture of collaboration and innovation within Adeo Global?
Eda: My philosophy is simple: never stop learning. Every day is an opportunity to grow, both personally and professionally. I actively avoid working with people who believe they already know everything—because the moment you stop learning, you stop evolving.
At Adeo Global, we encourage curiosity, experimentation, and humility. Innovation doesn’t come from playing it safe—it comes from asking questions, testing ideas, and learning from failure.
TFS: If you could go back to the early days of Adeo Global, what’s one piece of advice you would give yourself?
Eda: “Take care of yourself, so you can take care of the business.” In other words, align your personal energy with your company’s vision. The founder is the soul of the business—if you’re off balance, your business will be too.
Also, understand that failure is just feedback. Like a GPS, if the route changes, it simply recalculates. You don’t give up—you adjust and keep moving.
TFS: Adeo Global has already achieved so much in ecosystem building. What’s the next frontier—are there plans to expand beyond EMEA or into new industries?
Eda: Absolutely. We’ve spent the past few years planting seeds—building trust, forming partnerships, and learning markets. Now it’s time to scale. We’re preparing for larger initiatives, broader geographic expansion, and deeper industry impact.
You’ll see us making some big announcements soon, especially around cross-regional partnerships and success stories that showcase how ecosystem thinking creates measurable change.
TFS: What legacy do you want Adeo Global to leave in the healthcare and medtech space?
Eda: We want to bring humanity back to business. Healthcare, at its core, is about healing—it should never be reduced to mere transactions. I hope our legacy is one of meaningful impact, where we helped not just companies grow, but people live better lives.
If we can support even one vision, one patient, or one startup that goes on to change the world—that’s more than enough. As the starfish story reminds us: saving just one makes all the difference.
TFS: Looking ahead, what’s one major goal or milestone you hope Adeo Global will achieve in the next five years?
Eda: We want to become the go-to bridge between regions—between innovation and opportunity, vision and execution. Our goal is to help more visionary companies enter strategic markets and scale with purpose. Whether it’s through healthcare AI, medtech, or other transformative technologies, we want to be part of building the future.
In five years, I hope to see a global network of partners, success stories, and ecosystems that all trace back to Adeo Global—and the trust, collaboration, and care that built it.
TFS: Eda, it’s been truly inspiring hearing your story. Thank you for giving us insight into your journey and the mission behind Adeo Global!
Eda: Thank you! I hope this sparks motivation for more individuals and businesses to get involved—because together, we have the power to create real, lasting impact.
